McGruff Plays Ball With the Majors!
McGruff and six of Major League Baseball's top players joined forces on free trading cards with children's prevention and safety information. Through a partnership with the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), Topps, and the Plowshare Group, the players all lend their support to issues from Internet Safety to volunteering. Participating players are: New York Yankee's Derek Jeter, Boston Red Sox's Nomar Garciaparra, Chicago Cubs' Sammy Sosa, Seattle Mariner's Ichiro Suzuki, St. Louis Cardinal's Alex Pujols, and Toronto Blue Jays' Carlos Delgado.
